unafraid's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- in a future age.... boredom has overtaken me now and i've resorted to making a "Best of Wilco" mix. i realized that i haven't listened to the Billy Bragg & Wilco: Mermaid Ave. I & II very much at all. i'm not sure why though. they are very good, as all the Wilco albums are...i just haven't given them much of a chance. maybe it's because it's not purely Wilco that i tend to steer clear of it. But there is some really good stuff on both volumes! anywho...that's my excitement for the moment. work was alright today. i didn't too that well selling-wise, but better than i had the day before. maida and i found lots of things to laugh and giggle about, as we always do. next to reed, i probably enjoy working with her the most. it's reed, maida, and vic that i love working with the most. reed, for obvious reasons, vic because we both pick on each other a lot and he's just fun, and maida because i feel i can open up to her the most without being afraid of what she'll think of me. that's always a good thing. this is the exact reason i don't open up to reed very often, however. well, i do, but only when we are alone it seems. when we're in a big group, i just can't find a thing to say. even when it's just me and him, i usually end up talking about Wilco because i know it's the one thing we've got in common. anywho, enough about him for one night. jesus. tomorrow's my day off and i'm not sure what i'm doing besides taking jeff his Wilco (YHF) cd to his work. i let him borrow my burned copy and i said i'd buy the real thing for him as long as he paid me back. i love being able to share the music i love with other people and have them like it too. like, at first, jeff always made fun of the fact i liked ryan adams. he heard some of the tracks somehow (i can't remember where right now) and who comes to me wanting to burn the cd? jeff. now, it seems he's starting to get into Wilco. Wilco is definately my favorite obsession right now and i get so (dorkishly) excited when i find out a friend is getting into them now too. sure, wilco isn't jeff's favorite band or anything, but the fact that he likes some of their stuff and even owns one of their albums now is enough to make me wet myself. okay, i wouldn't go that far, but you get the drift. anyway, i'm going to continue this Best of Wilco mix and i'll update when something exciting happens. whenever that will be... 1:40 am - May. 06, 2002 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
