unafraid's Diaryland Diary

journal entry titles should not require this much thought...

i have come to the conclusion that EBay is pure evil. there are a million and one things i would kill for, but seeing that i have little money to spend, i cannot do so. so i stay up all night drooling over adorable Strokes t-shirts, the White Stripes pins, and juicy, signed promo pictures of Ryan Adams. if i had money to just throw around, EBay could very well be my best friend. But i'll just continue to get sucked into staring at things i want on there. hence, the reason it is 3 am and i'm still awake.

yesterday was reed's birthday party and it was much more fun than i imagined. we went to Chuck E. Cheese's and had pizza and cookie cake and drinks, etc...we all sat around and talked for a while and then it was to the games! i spent more money on tokens than i should have, but still left a few bucks for gas - seeing that i'm about to run out! reed managed to climb into the tubes and work his way into one of the little pretend cars that had windows and a steering wheel. so he sat there and smiled like a big dumbass as he "drove" the car and waved out the window. reed was the only one brave enough to do this. then he saw this chair lift ride that you strap into with a seatbelt. it lifts off the ground to go in a big circle around a clock and has music and lights. so reed straps in and pops in the tokens. the thing actually worked to our suprise and didn't break due to possible weight overload! so it went around twice with reed dangling his legs, with this horrible look of discomfort on his face saying "but moooommm....i don't wanna ride...." and whining like some sort of chunky, retarded, 10 year old. it was the funniest thing i had seen all week.

the party was from 7:30 to 10 and then after goofing off in the parking lot for about 10 minutes, we all went home. i've realized that i want to do something like that for my birthday (less than a month away), but possibly have at a restaurant of some sort. maybe Joe's Crab Shack. i could invite everyone from work (the parks and northeast) and my own personal friends. so this also means i will have to put location into consideration, seeing that work friends are closer to home in arlington and personal friends are all back in fort worth and hurst. so we shall see. i've still got time to do lots more planning if needed.

anyhow, after such a fun-filled day (work and reed's party), i think it's time for some much needed sleep!! tomorrow's my day off and most of it will be spent doing homework. (and searching for lost homework!)

hope you guys have a great week ahead of you.
